DirectMemoir — Terms of Service
1. Agreement and contact
These terms govern your use of DirectMemoir, including collaborative stories, uploaded media, AI generation, credits, and sharing. DirectMemoir is operated by its developer, who can be contacted at fauzankamadev@gmail.com. By selecting the agreement checkbox and continuing with email, Apple, or Google, you agree to these terms and the Copyright & IP Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
You must be at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal majority where you live. Keep account credentials secure and do not use another person's account without permission.
2. Your content and permissions
You retain the rights you hold in your prompts, stories, images, audio, and other submissions. You must own those submissions or have the permissions or other lawful basis needed to upload, process, adapt, and share them through DirectMemoir, including processing by our AI and storage providers. Obtain any required consent from identifiable people whose images or voices you submit. Do not submit another person's private information without permission.
Do not upload, generate, or share content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other rights. Do not use the service to copy protected characters, films, recordings, artwork, or branding without authorization or another lawful basis. Do not impersonate people or organizations or falsely suggest an endorsement.
3. Limited permission to operate the service
You grant DirectMemoir a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, transmit, adapt, and display your submissions only as needed to provide the features you request, including AI processing, rendering, crew collaboration, exports, and moderation. We may give our service providers the limited permissions necessary to perform those tasks for us. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content or grant us a general right to sell it, advertise with it, or use it to train models.
Your crew can see content shared with that crew, including generated scenes and completed movies. Sharing or exporting may create copies outside our control. Permissions end when content is deleted from our systems, except for copies retained as described in the Privacy Policy for backups, safety reports, disputes, or legal obligations. Deleting content cannot recall copies already downloaded or shared by others.
4. AI outputs and commercial use
AI outputs may contain mistakes, resemble other material, or be similar to outputs made for other people. Automated safety checks do not verify ownership, consent, or intellectual property clearance. Review outputs before sharing or publishing them.
As between you and DirectMemoir, we do not claim ownership of rights you lawfully acquire in your outputs. Any rights depend on applicable law, the rights in your inputs, and applicable provider and model licenses. Purchasing credits or generating a movie does not guarantee exclusive ownership, copyright protection, permission from third parties, or unrestricted commercial use. You must secure any additional permissions required for your intended use.
AI video generation uses MiniMax H3 via fal. Image generation uses FLUX.1 schnell via fal. Use of these features must comply with applicable provider and model acceptable-use restrictions, including prohibitions on unlawful use, rights infringement, exploitation, impersonation, and abuse. The provider and model license links are listed below; any required territorial authorization must cover your intended use. Do not use generated media to train a competing AI model where the applicable model terms prohibit it.
5. Community rules
Do not submit or share child exploitation, nudity or sexually explicit content, graphic violence, threats, hate, harassment, bullying, scams, unlawful material, or private information and images without permission. Do not evade moderation, abuse reporting, interfere with the service, or misrepresent your authority in a rights complaint. Report suspected violations using the in-app Report option or the support email.
6. Credits, purchases, and storage
Features that cost credits show the charge before you confirm. Credit purchases on iOS use Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple's billing and refund procedures and applicable consumer law apply; these terms do not remove statutory refund or other consumer rights. Credits do not grant rights to third-party material.
Generation and storage availability can vary. Keep a copy of content you want to retain; media may expire or be removed under the retention rules shown in the app and Privacy Policy. Account deletion is available from Profile. Deletion and any effect on content are described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Reports, removals, and appeals
We review reports and may remove or disable access to content, restrict a crew, or suspend an account for violations or legal reasons. We aim to review reports within 24 hours and prioritize urgent cases; this is a response target rather than a guaranteed legal deadline. Repeated substantiated infringement can result in account suspension or termination. We consider the facts and applicable law rather than treating every allegation as proof.
Any current crew member can kick another member, including the host, using Kick Member in the Share a Credit window. If the host is kicked, the member performing the kick becomes the new host and receives crew-management permissions. The removed person loses crew access and needs fresh approval to rejoin. Existing contributions remain in the crew unless separately removed through moderation or deletion. You cannot kick yourself; use the leave option where available.
To report an infringement or appeal a moderation decision, follow the Copyright & IP Policy or email fauzankamadev@gmail.com. Include the relevant content and report reference if available. We may request information, consider a response, and restore content where it is still available, appropriate, and lawful. Some removals and account suspensions are permanent and cannot be technically reversed. Restoration is not automatic.
8. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, particular AI results, or that every objectionable item will be detected. Any limitation of responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms and publish the revision date. Material changes will be brought to users' attention in the app or through another appropriate channel, with additional agreement requested where required by law. Contact fauzankamadev@gmail.com with questions.
