DirectMemoir — Copyright & IP Policy
Respect other people's rights
Only upload, generate, and share material you own, are authorized to use, or otherwise have a lawful basis to use. This includes reference photos, artwork, film stills, characters, logos, music, recordings, and a person's image or voice. An AI transformation or purchase of credits does not itself establish permission. Safety moderation is not a copyright or trademark clearance check.
Report from the app or by email
In a crew, use Report on the relevant person, photo, scene, video, or room and select Copyright or intellectual property. Identify the original work or mark, describe the suspected unauthorized use, and provide links or other identifying information. Reporting a member, photo, or scene hides that creator's content from the crew while the report is reviewed; other report targets may require an administrator to restrict access.
Rights holders and authorized representatives can report without creating an account or joining a crew: email fauzankamadev@gmail.com with the subject DirectMemoir IP complaint. Use the email option below to prepare a complaint. Do not send passwords, payment details, or identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate process.
What to include in a rights complaint
Include your name, reply email, and whether you are the rights holder or an authorized representative; a description of the original copyrighted work, trademark, or other right and evidence or a link identifying it; the exact DirectMemoir content, media URL, crew or movie title, report reference, and scene number if known; and an explanation of why the use is unauthorized. Attach a screenshot if you cannot provide a link. A private crew title alone may not identify the content, so provide as much precise information as possible.
Include a statement that you believe in good faith that the complained-of use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or applicable law; that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your electronic or physical signature. Provide any further statements or information required by the law applicable to your notice. We may ask for clarification when a report does not identify the material or your authority sufficiently.
How we handle complaints
We aim to review reports within 24 hours, prioritize urgent issues, and respond within any applicable legal requirements. We assess the information provided and may restrict access to or remove disputed content, contact the uploader, request more information, or take account action. A report is an allegation, not a finding of infringement. We consider evidence and applicable law, including any relevant permissions or exceptions.
Information necessary to understand or respond to a complaint may be shared with the affected user, our providers, advisers, or authorities when appropriate and lawful. Report and review records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy. We cannot recall copies that other people have already downloaded or shared outside DirectMemoir.
Appeals and repeated infringement
If you believe content was removed or restricted by mistake, email fauzankamadev@gmail.com with the report reference, affected content, your contact details, and your explanation and evidence of authorization or another lawful basis. We will assess the response and any applicable legal process; content is not automatically restored. Where a jurisdiction provides a formal notice or counter-notice process, its requirements still apply.
Repeated substantiated infringement may result in account suspension or termination. Serious violations may also result in action on a single incident. Deliberately false or abusive complaints can lead to account action. Questions, complaints, and appeals can be sent to the same support address.
